BioGents finds specific attractants, develops efficient traps, helps to optimise repellents as well as treated textiles, and updates monitoring and surveillance techniques against insect pests. In all our contract R&D, strict confidentiality is always observed.

Past and current projects include:

• The development of highly specific and efficient mosquito attractants.
• The design and optimisation of novel trap systems for mosquitoes and other hematophageous insects, for the professional and retail markets.
• The development of an effective approach for the monitoring and surveillance of dengue mosquitoes in Brazil, using cheap attractants and simple traps. This project is being conducted in cooperation with our Brazilian partner company Ecovec.
• Using repellents and traps to create an efficient and non-toxic push and pull system to control mosquitoes at home.
• The development of an improved fly bait.
• Developing traps and attractants for sandflies.
